Overland Adventures proudly joined the vibrant festivities of the final Broken Heel Festival, celebrating 10 years of fabulous fun in Broken Hill. Known for its flamboyant celebration of all things drag and dazzling, the Broken Heel Festival has been a cornerstone event for the local community and visitors alike. This year, marking the end of an era, the Overland Adventures team was thrilled to be a part of the festival’s grand finale by participating in the iconic Street Parade.

For this special occasion, Overland Adventures brought out their big black bus, which has become a familiar sight on outback tours. Decked out with festival flair, the bus made its way through the lively streets of Broken Hill, surrounded by enthusiastic friends, kids, and team members who were all smiles as they soaked up the electric atmosphere. The community spirit was infectious, and it was clear that everyone was united in celebrating the festival’s decade-long legacy.

"It's such an honour to be involved in the final parade of the Broken Heel Festival," said Janine from Overland Adventures. "We've been a part of this wonderful community for years, and to see our bus rolling through the streets with our friends and kids is a memory we'll always cherish."

The festival, which celebrates its drag roots and the iconic film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, will be dearly missed by attendees, who have come from far and wide each year. Overland Adventures' participation highlights its ongoing commitment to supporting local events and fostering community involvement.

As the final curtain closes on this spectacular festival, the Overland Adventures team looks forward to carrying on the spirit of Broken Hill's vibrant culture in future events and experiences. Although this is the last Broken Heel Festival, the memories made here will last a lifetime for everyone involved.
