The 2024 Mundi Mundi Bash was an epic event that perfectly captured the spirit of the NSW Outback. Over three days, we immersed ourselves in a vibrant mix of Aussie music, fun, and camaraderie, and we’re still buzzing from the incredible experience! We had such a great group join us this year, we doubled in size from the previous year.
Thursday We collected our guests from the motel, and the excitement was palpable as we arrived at the breathtaking Mundi Mundi Plains with our group of 20 campers. The stunning backdrop of the vast, open landscape set the tone for the days ahead. We made it in by 9:30am, gave everyone a quick run down, the compost toilets, handed their bag of wet wipes, a stubby cooler and their trolleys and off they went into the arena to enjoy the line up of acts for day 1.
There was a world record reached for the Beyond Blue event, a sight to behold as thousands of us lined up, trying to break the world record together wearing a sea of blue in the shape of Australia. The sense of unity was incredible, and the laughter was contagious.
The day kicked off with local artists taking the stage, their performances resonating with the heart and soul of the great Aussie Outback. We also enjoyed exploring the various stalls, the merch tent, and where local vendors showcased unique arts, crafts, and delicious food. The evening wrapped up with an electrifying headline act that had everyone on their feet, dancing under the starry sky. As the sun set, we gathered for another night of unforgettable performances, this time featuring some of Australia’s most beloved musicians... Back at camp only minutes away from the arena, the group settled around the campfire to reflect on the great event put for day 1!
Friday we were woken up by the patter of rain on our tents, which was much needed to settle the dust from the day before. A wonderful way to wake up to the sound of rain, fortunately 4ml of rain and then the skies cleared by 9am.
Today was all about community spirit and having a blast! The Bash became a playground for all ages, with activities ranging from family-friendly games to adrenaline-pumping challenges including the Mundi Undi Run!
As the sun set, we gathered for another night of unforgettable performances, this time featuring some of Australia’s most beloved line up of fantastic musicians and headliner James Reyne.
Saturday the final day of the Mundi Mundi Bash was bittersweet as we knew this amazing journey was coming to an end. We kicked off the morning with a continental breakfast, followed by a lineup of people heading up to the arena for the Nut Bush and Mad Max events. Throughout the day, we continued to soak in the sights and sounds, taking part in workshops, attending meet-and-greets with artists, and making new friends along the way. The festival concluded with a massive sing-along to Chocolate Star Fish and Jon Stevens, where everyone joined in, creating a powerful and emotional ending to this magnificent 3-day event!
